Bingbot is a Microsoft web crawler responsible for indexing web pages for the Bing search engine. Similarly, Googlebot web crawler, that indexes, scans, and collects data from websites to improve Bing’s search results.
Bingbot follows robots.txt rules and respects “nofollow” directives on links and pages. It operates with other Bing crawlers, such as AdIdxBot (for Bing Ads) and BingPreview (for generating page snapshots).
